The large Hungarian flight attendants did their best to tell us off, saying that the plane could not possibly wait for us (after it had already waited for us) and so we took off in a semi-empty Fokker to Budapest.

do you remember the Discovery movie about the founder of the Dutch airlines – well, it is the same Fokker! I had no idea that propeller airplanes were still used for international civil flights and the inscription on this one did not look civil at all:

anyway, it took off and even landed successfully!

the Budapest Airport (apparently built in parts just like ours) has two separate terminals and the unfortunate passengers have to go along this in order to get from one terminal to the other:

the total length of the corridor is 300 meters and it has been lifted on stilts some 6 meters above the ground but it goes in a zigzag, so in any single moment you see no further than 50 meters ahead of you. (I never found out why, by chance or on purpose, you have to go around all kinds of things on the way)
The Copenhagen Airport is a completely different story… although it is not new at all, the car parking spots in front of it look like this:

it is curious that the car tracks are covered with unipaver while the pedestrian sections are covered with granite tiles

and the bike tracks… hmmm, actually, they are asphalted

What follows are approximately 300 km of boundless arable land between Malmo and Gothenburg. It is needless to say that no piece of land is left uncultivated…
There are exactly three spots we need to see in Gothenburg: one of them turned out to have evaporated in some mysterious way, it had been moved to some place else, or it was never there? (the GPS took us to a weird-looking ground with garage cells?!?!), the second one kept getting away after trying to overcome the complicated multi-level road junctions three times and realizing we had missed the right exit more than a kilometer ago, and the third one was the central train station of Gothenburg.
It was build some 15, or even 20, years ago. It is a super simple solution plan: the gates on one side and the car, pedestrian and public transport access on the other – it is a narrow rectangle that simply lets through the flow of people. And a quite strange general outlook –
a pedestrian access point:

the main entrance on the shorter façade:

taken from the side of the bus terminals:

we go inside after I have asked myself the bewildering question several times: what the hell provoked so much shape structuring? and, apparently, I had found no logical answer so far in neither the surrounding space, nor the function of the building or the most perverted perception of “nice” that I am capable of.

there is nothing left for me to say, I think… it speaks for itself.
the terminals:

some details (contemplate upon the fact that this has been used for at least 15 years…, not to mention the fact that it has been conceived 20 years ago):

oops, I forgot – the station is designed by Niels Torp, a Norwegian guy
