Iberia 16/17 – murcia
Posted: March 19th, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: fun, trips and notes | No Comments »if I want to start a new story, I should finish this one first, right…
for this effort, I have to pay tribute to a recent meeting with a childhood friend, who made me feel ashamed for not finishing what I have started – so, here it is, the beginning of the end.
it has been months since then but I recall that taking pictures had become tedious and I wanted to be headed home already; we leave Granada quickly and decide to reach Barcelona in 2 instead of the planned 3 days by sacrificing our visit to Valencia as well as a few other places on the way such as Alicante and Cartagena.

we do not miss the chance to stop by this weird theater
which is literarily situated in the corn fields in the middle of nothing, ?!+%=”?:=+?! There are about thirty houses around us which I can say, at the most, looked like a mining village
in the evening, we arrived in Murcia, so what – it doesn’t really matter where we are going to sleep…
but it is never all the same what we are going to eat 🙂
I love the tiny squares of Spanish towns – they appear out of nothing in the most peculiar of places 🙂
a group of old men sitting nearby – beer and olives
after dinner, we come upon the town’s one week celebrations
sometimes, I get the feeling that one day my grandchildren will ask me “but, grandma, why was grandpa there all by himself? Why weren’t you with him?”… so, to prove them wrong, I locate the self-shutter of the way-too-complicated Nikon and – voila – here I am:
what follows is a one day boring ride along an endless highway (not the cheapest ones) and, finally, her majesty, the queen is before us,
